Whats Wrong With My McDonald’s Coffee Lately?

Mcds Coffee

My daily morning McDonald’s coffee has been tasting off lately – like bitter burnt cigarettes or rubber… or something… Its VERY BITTER now!  It used to taste like dark chocolate.  Did they change their coffee beans?  Is it the McDonald’s location I’m going to (Hurontario and Bristol)?  I usually take two cream and one sugar in my coffee, I’ve had to up the dosage in the last week.  I will need to visit a couple of different McDonald’s to see if there has been a change.  I recall Tim’s coffee starting to taste like this a few years ago when they decided to cheap out….

The problem with McDonald’s coffee is the consistency. Unless you know exactly who is making the coffee and their schedule I find I’ve never gotten the same quality several times in a roll. I still think that on average you get a very good cup of coffee for the price.

Go to Starbucks. Same great taste every time.

You are absolutely correct. We have noticed the absence of the great aroma and smoothness lately. We described it the same way … burnt … bitter … cigarette butt flavour. We tried a different location and it was similar. I think they have changed suppliers and hope people don’t notice. I have gone back to Timmy’s again

Same here. I’ve gone back to Timmie’s coffee, and just make coffee with my Keurig, and I no longer drink Mcds.
