Lies, lies and more lies [ALERT: 15July2011]

Obama Lies

In a desperate move to win the debt ceiling battle, Obama tells us he cannot guarantee Social Security checks will be mailed out August 2nd if the debt ceiling is not raised.  Then, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner confirmed it.  But according to an official Social Security Administration press report, released just one month ago, there is $2.6 trillion in the OASDI fund (Old-Age and Survivors Insurance, and Disability Insurance), and it will not be exhausted until 2036.

Bloomberg Lies
NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberflat-out lies in a new ad campaign,  claiming that that jihadists can buy machine guns at gun shows in the United States without a background check, and that the NRA has been silent to such charges.

Grisanti Lies
“Marie and Charles” (whose names have been changed) have dumped TEANewYork for our refusal to give Mark Grisanti a pass over his reneging on his commitment to defend marriage.  Marie says “Mark is a good man and no I don’t agree with everything he does or think, its called individualism,” and went so far as to complain to the Tea Party Patriots (!) that TNY is being too tough on Mark, apparently because we’ve determined that he needs to be replaced.  I explained that this is not about individualism, this is about representing his constituency.  You and I have the luxury of individualism, but as an elected representative, Mark does not, at least not without facing opposition. That’s just the reality of political life.  As much as we like Mark, forgive him his indiscretion, and appreciate him individually, we feel we deserve representatives who honor their campaign commitments.  Or maybe we don’t, if Marie and Charles’ opinion is any gauge.

We are about Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.  A vote in favor of same-sex marriage represents the exact opposite of what we stand for.  Adding a whole new host of beneficiaries to the hard earned income of the most heavily taxed citizens in the nation, in the middle of an economic crisis, is NOT FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE.  In addition, we believe Mark Grisanti and the other Senators that voted in favor of same-sex marriage exceeded the limits of their constitutional authority.  We strive to obtain more conservative representation to reverse the rapid socio-economic slide downward, and Mark has demonstrated he is not up to the task.  If we don’t stand on our stated goals, what exactly should our purpose be?  What say you?

Grisanti’s coffers grow after gay marriage vote
ALBANY — Advocates of gay marriage pumped about $50,000 into the political campaign account of Republican State Sen. Mark J. Grisanti of Buffalo after he voted June 24 in the historic session that legalized same-sex marriage in New York. The donations included $10,300 from New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, who was a strong proponent of the new law, and $10,000 from Colorado resident Tim Gill, who heads a group that has promoted gay marriage laws here and in other states.

Wait. Aren’t there limits to how much individuals and corporations can contribute?  There always has been, but I guess the rules have changed.

You know why a banana is like a politician?
When he first comes in he is green, then he turns yellow and then he’s rotten. I think Congressmen should wear uniforms like NASCAR drivers so we could identify their corporate sponsors.

Marriage Schmarriage
“Malignant entities in academia, the cultural elites, and politics are hell-bent on expelling the Church from the public arena by maneuvering Christian believers into untennable positions.”  As a result, Monsignor Charles Pope of the Archdiocese of Washington, DC suggests we rename marriage “Holy Matrimony,” and for Clergy to stop signing Civil “Marriage” licenses.

AZ Town Declares Martial Law.
A woman is arrested after attempting to expose the corruption of public officials.  Then the corrupted ones force the good Mayor into a secret meeting to declare a state of emergency.

Ron Paul on Israel
On January 9, Ron Paul addressed Congress to voice his opposition to a House resolution expressing strong support for Israel in its invasion of Gaza, and branding Hamas as a terrorist organization, and called for American neutrality in conflicts that have nothing to do with the United States.

We’re all for non-interventionist foreign policy, but Israel is Israel.  A pinprick on the map surrounded by hoards of enemies sworn to its destruction.  Trying to make peace with its domestic enemy, who has Israel’s complete annihilation still written into their Charter.  There are also blessings and curses of biblical proportions:  “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” ~Gen 12:3

Politically smart, and/or biblically foolish?
Puts a new perspective on Ron Paul.

Reagan statue 2
Reagan Honored…Elsewhere
Ronald Reagan is honored in London & Hungary (but not the U.S.), with the erection of statues, honoring his 100th birthday this year.  Born (or at least unveiled) on the 4th of July, a  10ft statue of Ronald Reagan is unveiled in London.

Comment #9: “People in Europe show more respect for Reagan than US democrats and other lefties and commies. – (REDUNDANCY ALERT!) – They realize and appreciate how much The Gipper did to bring freedom to millions. US lefties dislike him because he set their beloved international socialist movement back 70 years.”

“If you can’t make them see the light, let them feel the heat.” ~Ronald Reagan

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
