If you drink, don’t drive. Don’t even putt. ―Dean Martin

Um, GP Syndrome. I kinda like that. It has a hint of mystery to it.

“Maybe next time.” That’s a howl. There folks for whom that would be the most appropriate response.

Shortly before my husband and I were married, as we were leaving the county clerk’s office after picking up our marriage license, the woman working behind the counter stuck her head out of the door and yelled down the hall “See you next time!” My husband-to-be stopped, turned around, and yelled back “No, this time I know this is The One!” At which point, I took him by the arm and said, “Let’s get out of here.”
We recently celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. If at first you don’t succeed . . . 😀

Funny. Glad it stuck. 🙂 it is the people who keep doing it over and over again who give marriage a bad reputation, which is kind of odd.
Been married 41 years. Marriage requires commitment. Impossible to make it work without that commitment.

I agree, you’ve got to have commitment and love.
My husband and I were both diagnosed with severe PTSD, before we met. His was caused by combat as a Marine Corps rifleman in Vietnam. My PTSD was caused by the childhood from hell. Until we each got some good healing therapy for our respective trauma issues, and then we both became Christians, we were much too broken and needy to make a marriage work.

Good ones. I plan to sprinkle the dust bunnies with glitter in colors according to the Holiday season of the month.

I learned long ago to consider the dust part of the decor.
