    There are so many amazing dogs at local city animal shelters and my goal is to give them professional profile photos that do them justice and increase their chances at adoption.

        And, then, there are people like me who see the most pitiful, little, dorky looking doggie and has to have it. And, she turns into a beautiful swan.

          We rescued 2 Giant Alaskan Malamute/Shepherd mix fur babies. They were just puppies at the time but we couldn’t walk away and not take them. We took one of them and then heard the last puppy didn’t get adopted and was headed to the dog pound. We drove the 4 hours again and took that puppy. LOL Not sure I’d be willing to take on 2 puppies at once again but I’ll always cherish the memories of raising them. They were a huge responsibility and a lot of work, but oh such joy!

          We lost one when she was 7 years 10 months to seizures that could not be managed or stopped. I miss her still 💔😪 We still have her sister and she is 14 and a half. 🥰

          Bravo! My father once adopted a husky 3 hours before it was to be put down, he refused to give up and she recovered beautifully, then out lived my Dad. This is catching dust in my eye but, she would lay in wait for him by the door for the rest of her life.

    The owner that made that wonderful doggy “armor” definitely has a “Steam Punk” background. What a fabulous creation…and the doggy is awfully cute too…..:0)

        Fiorello Fido woke up shivering and whining. The worst dream of his life had shaken him deeply. Was it a foretelling of future events? He thought over the many times he’d chased cats and squirrels, and especially the time he barked then bared his teeth to the nice mailman. He knew he must change his ways but barking and chasing were fun and he never would really bite the mailman.

        He went first to the cat. Asking forgiveness, he said, “I promise never to chase you again.” The cat yawned and said, “You can’t go against dog nature. Dogs gotta chase.”

        He next went to the squirrel and made the same promise. The squirrel held out his hand and said, “You got any peanuts? No forgiveness without peanuts–preferably unsalted.”

        Dejected, he waited for the mailman to make his rounds and smiled his best smile when he saw him carrying a packet of mail up the driveway. The mailman’s eyes gazed uncertainly at Fiorello. “I’m sorry for barking and baring my teeth at you,” Fiorello said. “Well,” the mailman responded, “just remember the next time means no mail delivery to your master for a week.”

        Finally, he saw his master and ran to him. Bowing low he said, “Oh, Master, I had a terrible dream that showed me the error of my ways. On my Sacred Canine Honor I promise NEVER to do anything bad again.”

        The Master patted him, saying, “I love you, Fiorello. I know you are a good dog.”

        And from that moment on, Fiorello was as good as he could be…and he never had the dream again.
