Universal Studios Exclusive Transformers: Studio Series Leader Class Megatron

Megatron

Previous Mold Use: Studio Series Leader Class Megatron

This was originaly announced as a Universal Studios exclusive. According to TFWiki, Hasbro made it available to online sellers due to covid-19. I guess that makes sense, but while it does say “Transformers The Ride-3D” on the box, it does not have the Universal Studios exclusive logo that has appeared on other exclusives. If this was planned for the park only, I don’t know why it wouldn’t have been planned as an exclusive. I suppose they might have had enough lead time to change the packaging before production, but it seems odd that they would have bothered. As to Megatron himself, he’s in mostly silver, gunmetal gray, and black, and meant to be in the same colors as the big Megatron at Universal Studios.

That Megatron is based on Movie or ROTF Megatron, not DOTM, but you can see where they got the color scheme.

Overall: He looks fine, but I hate that they left out his cloak.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
