Great news! The excellent Castle Rock has been confirmed for a Season 2 UK return to the Starzplay streaming service (head here for everything they can offer) that you can get via Amazon right here, from 13th February!

Starring Lizzy Caplan and Tim Robbins, all 10 episodes of the impressive psychological-horror series from the mind of Stephen King will launch exclusively on the Starzplay channel plus, while we’ve got you, American modern-noir drama Perpetual Grace Ltd starring Sir Ben Kingsley, Jimmi Simpson and Jacki Weaver will also debut all 10 episodes on Thursday 6^th February.

Both series have an impressive cast and setup as well, here’s some official background:

Misery arrives in the town with Lizzy Caplan playing a young version of Stephen King’s nurse from hell from his novel Misery. In season two of this psychological-horror series, a feud between warring clans comes to a boil when budding psychopath Annie Wilkes gets waylaid in Castle Rock. Set in the Stephen King multiverse, the series combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out in a few square miles of Maine woodland. The fictional Maine town of Castle Rock has figured prominently in King’s literary career: Cujo, The Dark Half, IT and Needful Things, as well as novella The Body and numerous short stories such as Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption, are either set in or contain references to Castle Rock.

The series stars Lizzy Caplan, Paul Sparks, Barkhad Abdi,  Yusra Warsama, Elsie Fisher, Matthew Alan and Tim Robbins. Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason return for season two as executive producers and showrunners. The show is also executive produced by King and Bad Robot’s J.J. Abrams and Ben Stephenson, in addition to Vince Calandra, Liz Glotzer and Greg Yaitanes.

Perpetual Grace Ltd follows James (Jimmi Simpson), a young grifter, as he attempts to prey upon Pastor Byron Brown (Sir Ben Kingsley), who turns out to be far more dangerous than James suspects. The pastor and his wife Lillian (Jacki Weaver), known to their parishioners as Pa and Ma, have used religion to swindle hundreds of innocent people out of their life savings in Half Acre, NM.

The series also stars Luis Guzman and Terry O’Quinn, it’s executive produced by Steve Conrad (“Patriot,” Wonder), who also directs the series, and Bruce Terris, Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch and is produced by MGM Television.
