I figured that eventually I will have to deal with custom PCBs so I decided to pick up Cadsoft’s eagle during my down time. Seeedstudio has a pretty decent prototyping service that I want to try out once I have progressed far enough. Another factor affecting my decision was the possibility of building a RepRap for the university. A professor is looking for a few students to assemble/build a RepRap from scratch and a few hacking buddies of mine and I may just be the right people for the job. I will find out on Friday about our prospects. I have a feeling that the stepper motor drivers will be custom and that eagle knowledge will come in very handy.
