Church Website updated

Just a short post to say that we have just updated the church website.

Most of the content is the same but it is now what is called in the trade “responsive”. It means that when you look at it on a smartphone that it recognises that it is a much smaller screen and will adjust accordingly. There is a growing move towards accessing the website on smartphones (some 25% at the moment of all content on the Springfield website is accessed through smartphones).

Obviously, there are a few new features (such as always having the menus visible on a PC) and the colour scheme has changed but you should be able to find your way around it as before and if you bookmarked a page then they should still be the same.

So, go and have a look and tell me what you think – and especially let me know of any gremlins (I’ve tried to get rid of a load today but they haven’t all been dispatched!)

The website is here: http://springfieldchurch.org.uk/

    Hi Will,
Just had a look on the site. I like the new colour scheme, and the ‘banner’ bit (is that what it’s called?) in the front, with the menus on. I’m wondering if the banner might be a bit too big, though – or is it just my screen resolution?

I found it difficult to read the page behind it, as it only allows me to see a small section at a time, when I scroll down, (e.g. the info about the services etc).

    Any thoughts on this?

    Otherwise, very good work!
    God bless,
    Angela

Thanks Angela for the feedback. Very helpful. I’ve made some changes and so do have another look and see if its better. If it’s still not ok then please let me know – I’ll have to make some bigger changes!

    Thanks Will,
I think that’s now much easier to follow.

Any other suggestions from other folks? (If so, better get them in quickly, as Will’s away from Sunday!)

    God bless,
    Angela x
