A Review: Jockey Cool Touch Slipshort.

I meant to write a blog post last week about all of the travel-friendly things I packed for New York, but never got around to it. Aside from medicated bandaids and individually-wrapped makeup removing pads, the item I had to share was my pair of Jockey Cool Touch Slipshorts.

To be blunt, I’ve never had a thigh gap, and because of my larger thighs, I’ve never been confident wearing shorts and sometimes even wearing a dress is uncomfortable. A few summers ago, I took to using a balm between my thighs when I wore a dress to a music festival and while that worked out okay, I knew it wasn’t going to work for walking miles and miles around the city.

So, I went to Walmart specifically to find an affordable pair of shorts that I could wear underneath thin, summer dresses. It should be noted that there were tons of options!

I narrowed it down to the Jockey brand, because it’s familiar and I’ve worn their underwear items before. Once I picked the brand, I knew I wanted a longer pair and then I just needed my size.

There was a size chart on the tag and I went up one size, just to make sure it wouldn’t be too tight. Of course, I didn’t want it to be loose, but I didn’t want there to be a line on my thigh where it was cutting into my skin. Really though!

I ended up with the Cool Touch Slipshort for about $10 in a light grey color. Here is the official product description:

The Life by Jockey Women’s Slipshort makes an ideal addition to your wardrobe with its versatile design. It features a smooth blend of cotton, nylon and spandex for all-day comfort. This Jockey slipshort comes in several different colors and sizes.

Life by Jockey Women’s Slipshort with Extended Sizes:

• Smoothing coverage under clothes

• Seamless underwear slipshort has a seam-free microfiber stretch fabric

• Cotton lined gusset extends along inner thigh to prevent chafing

• Material is 85% nylon, 8% cotton and 7% spandex

• Longer leg provides modest coverage

• Lightweight design without constriction

• Available in black, light, pink shadow and white

• Available in s, m, l, xl, xxl, 3xl, 4xl and 5xl

I tried them on when I got home and was pleasantly surprised that they were not heavy feeling and the ribbing around the legs and waist would likely keep them from rolling up or down.

I wore these nearly every day on my trip and they were amazing! I am mad at myself for not buying a product like this sooner — I would’ve been much more comfortable wearing dresses.

While it’s not shapewear, it made me feel more confident wearing the dress, and I was less worried about a gust of wind rolling in and revealing my underwear to anyone nearby.

This was definitely a win for me, and so affordable!

And nope, this is not sponsored, I just figured if I liked it so much, there’s got to be someone else out there that could use the good word.
