In which THE DAY arrives …

Well it’s here. CSR2010 day. After the leaks, the briefings and the scary TV graphics the UK will get some facts to chew on.

It feels like a bizarre reverse Christmas in which we get to watch Santa on TV unwrapping presents and rubbishing them as he goes. Adult social care? Pants. Leisure services? Double pants. NHS? No, that’s lovely, it just needs a make over.

Most public servants will be getting on with the jobs in hand. The hard, daily grind of serving the public free from ‘jollies’ and chill zones and taxpayer-funded sofas. They’ll catch up with news via the expert analysis being bigged up everywhere. There’s nothing like a bad news story to energize folks.

Well I’ve organised my day to catch the announcements live so I can have my tuppennies’ worth alongside everyone else. But wherever you happen to be and whatever you are doing here’s wishing you all the very best on CSR2010 day.

Happy CSR day to you too. I’ll be in the office today- there’s no heating so we’re all sitting here in coats and scarves trying to work (have you ever tried typing with gloves on?). Now that’s a chillout zone.

I’ve just been told I’m being made redundant and Gideon hasn’t even stood up yet. You can’t fault their efficiency.
