San Francisco Public Library Tour 2016

I love libraries. Libraries are where I learned to love reading.  The concept that there should be an institution dedicated to democratic access and free education is one we must defend at all costs if our society means anything at all. And librarians… they are awesome. Like cheesemongers and retail workers, they are on the front lines of social service work as government funding for traditional programs is cut. I am not a librarian, but I feel like we share much common ground.

So, with that in mind, I’d like to announce my SFPL library tour of 2016 for Cheddar: A Journey to the Heart of America’s Most Iconic Cheese. I’ll do a reading at all these events and some might even have cheese samples.  Books will be available for purchase and I will kick back 10% of all sales to the Friends of the Library.

So, here you go.  Come to your favorite branch and hear about Cheddar!

June 29, 6 PM — Anza Branch, 550 37th Avenue, San Francisco, 94121
