Eastie Dems

Boston Ward 1 Democrats

DEMOCRATIC WARD COMMITTEE

The Democratic ward committee is the grassroots organizing element of the Democratic party made of Democrats from the ward (i.e. East Boston in our case). It’s responsible for organizing people in the community in order to learn the community’s priorities and visions, and act accordingly in deciding which candidates to endorse, conducting candidate forums, conducting caucuses in order to elect delegates for state party conventions (where the delegates vote on state-level candidates and issues). You have a chance to be one of the delegates if you attend the caucus and nominate yourself as a candidate.
