About

At its most elemental, skiing is about moving over snow, faster and farther than you can on foot. A snow-covered trail and the intensity and focus of skiing open a path to a state of flow. So each winter I make journeys across the snow line.

Winter is a quiet and magical season/ Being outside during a snowfall is to experience a change in the way you sense the world. Cross-country skiing enables me to extend that experience for hours, at my own pace.

This blog started as an experiment in learning WordPress, and is now a project to record and map data that helps me answer the question: “if I have a chance to go skiing, where would I go?”. Occasionally I post some other random commentary about Nordic skiing.
