Most people, if not everyone would answer that the goal of a wrestling match is to win the match.
That answer is correct but incomplete.
I believe the goal of a wrestling match is to win the match against your opponent, any future matches against that same opponent or anyone watching the match and to best prepare you for the ultimate match of your season.
I believe a wrestler accomplishes all these goals by dominating the match.
I believe domination is defined by the difference in points scored in a match.
A wrestler dominates matches by being a relentless point scorer.
