Welcome

Welcome to Alpha Xi Delta Rho chapter at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  At Alpha Xi Delta, we “inspire women to realize their potential.”  The women who enter our sisterhood are smart, talented, and independent.  Together, we celebrate our differences and encourage each other to become the best versions of ourselves.  On bid day, we start as strangers, but at the end of four years we are more than friends.  We are sisters; we are Alpha Xi Delta.

Alpha Xi Delta Rho Chapter was founded in 1912. Twelve brave women founded our chapter on ideals that they believed would help them to become the best versions of themselves. Rho chapter is built on Sisterhood, Knowledge, Leadership, and Service. We still believe in these four pillars of Alpha Xi and support each other along the way to personal, intellectual, and professional growth.

A Letter From our President

Hi there! My name is Ivy, and I am the current President of Alpha Xi Delta – Rho Chapter. My major is speech language pathology. I am from the small town of Hickman, Nebraska, where I graduated from Norris High School in 2012.

As President, I lead chapter meetings and communicate with Fraternity Headquarters and our Corporation Board. I am always available to listen to any issues and ideas the members of the chapter may have.  I try to help them in anyway that I can, because I know they would do the same for me!

In joining Alpha Xi, never have I ever felt more supported and welcomed by a group of people than the women I have met in Alpha Xi Delta.  Throughout my college experience, my sisters have inspired me to step outside of my comfort zone to join other organizations and take on leadership positions. I never imagined that I would be where I am today, and I know I have my parents, this university, and especially Alpha Xi Delta to thank. I am so happy and incredibly proud to be a part of this sisterhood.

Xi love,
Ivy Diehl
