Born on December 23rd, 2013.
Our main goal is to educate both young and old about stuttering and it’s many different forms, because we all don’t stutter the same way. This blog is intended to be an open and safe environment for everyone. We offer support, advocacy, and inspiration with every post. Thank you for coming to our site we really appreciate it!
Why are we here?
This blog was started as a way to connect with people from around the world, and to empower those who feel they don’t have a voice. Our mission is to help others with our stories and experiences. We’ve all been through tough times, and sometimes we feel as if were the only ones with this problem. You are not alone. There are people just like you who share your feelings. Everyone is free to express their thoughts and opinions on this site.

Thank you for your follow. In my youth I had a mild stutter and somewhere over the passage of time this stutter appeard to disappear. I can not relate to when, so I can not honestly say what occurred for my stuttering to stop. But I do believe that my growth in confidence does have a bearing on this.
I am now following and look forward to further posts.

Thank you Chris for following us and yes I had a few friends who stuttered in their childhood, but all of a sudden their stutter went away altogether. Thank you again, were always open to suggestions if you have any things you want us to specifically talk about.
This week is a little crazy for me, clonejill, and thetruexavier with college finals hot on our tails. But I have some guest posts that I’ll put up on Friday.
Take care,
James

My nephew has Asbergers and stutters but I have been around him for so long I don’t notice it until something is said. What hurts is people can be so rude and hurtful. But he is so positive and loving. I really enjoy your blog.

Thank you Crafty Lady in Combat Boots π Bullies are very hurtful, I’ve been bullied not only for my stutter but for my eyesight as well.

The first year I taught high school, i had a pair of twin boys in the 11th grade who stuttered badly. I had never heard them speak when I gave an oral poetry reading assignment. They were the first to volunteer and did a great job in spite of their speech problem–my favorite students in all the world because of their bravery.

As a non-stutterer, I haven’t thought much about stuttering, though my father stuttered from age 7-9 (after a severe trauma), and I’ve known some big-hearted, courageous people who are stutters. Just reading a bit here made me think about my own difference, as a multiple personality – another form of something in the mind getting stuck and the mind needing to create a “work around.” I think my trauma was related to my father’s trauma and all that proceeded. In some way, we’re kin. If anyone thinks their stuttering has anything to do with abuse, perhaps my site will be illuminating: paradigm salon.net
All the best to you in your work! Onward with courage and love ~

Maybe I’m a statistic lol. I’m female and I started stuttering in my late twenties after I met a scary person. I still stutter several times a month to this day.
You have an extremely interesting blog here! I wish you more and more fans! I’m a fan!

Do more boys, or girls, stutter? Or is the condition fairly evenly distributed among the genders?

As of now the numbers are 2/3 boys 1/3 girls stutter, they aren’t sure why its that way so researchers are looking into it.

Hello James,
Thanks so much for visiting my recovery blog. I also have an awesome Social Media & Book Promoting blog on WP too! http://anauthorandwriterinprogress.wordpress.com You may learn about some new authors and reads.
What great work your doing to help raise awareness about stuttering. I to had this when I was a kid and had to attend speech class in elementary school with a specialist, when they used to have them in schools back in the day. I also advocate for those who have been touched by issues that have touched my life, gambling addiction and recovery, mental illness, and give a voice to other childhood abuse & trauma survivors. I’m a new FAN and now following!
Much Happiness!

If at any time you or anyone you know wants to write a guest post, or a series send me a email and I’ll set you up. π
