Camp Ministry

My name is Alex Doriot. I believe in the power of humor to connect with students. I believe that a ridiculous game or a hilarious skit can break down barriers for the Gospel to be proclaimed. I have seen it first-hand.

Over the past 14 years I’ve been able to use my talents for leading games, skits and recreation for various churches and camps across the southeast for friends of mine in ministry. And now I’d like to offer them up to you.

If you’re looking to take your summer camp to the next level this year, send me an email. I would love to discuss with you the possibility of coming in to revamp the recreation/game time at your Summer Camp/Fall Retreat/DNow or other youth event. My partners and I can work within your framework or help to reimagine it in a way that will make your event unforgettable by fostering connections between you and your students in new and exciting ways.

Our focus is on John 10:10 and trying to exhibit to students the “life and life to the full” that only Jesus offers. We not only want to engage your students, but we hope to take a burden off of you when it comes to planning and organizing your camp.

Wouldn’t you love to focus more on your students and less on planning your program? After all, you only get a few days at your camp or retreat. These days are pivotal when it comes to your ministry. Why waste time trying to find the perfect game when you can bring someone else in to do it for you?

My partners and I will tailor our services to your specific group and needs. We can handle aspects of your camp such as:

  • Recreation
  • Morning Celebration
  • Late Night Activities
  • Mixers & Up-Front Games
  • Hilarious Characters & Skits
  • Meal-Time Entertainment
  • Spiritual Formation Activities

Our original skits and characters will tie into your retreat theme. Our creative and hilarious games will get your students up and moving and working together. Our interactive activities will strengthen bonds and relationships.

The program we deliver to your camp or retreat isn’t just a time-filler. We believe what we do paves the way for the Gospel of Christ to be proclaimed. Our goal is to break down walls and reinforce relationships. We use humor to make students feel welcome and connected so that your speaker, band, and leaders can effectively communicate a Christ-centered message.

If this sounds like something you might want to bring to your next Student Ministry event, I would love to speak with you about what I can offer. But don’t just take my word for it:

I have used Alex and his brother-in-law the last couple of years for our camps. I can not say enough good things about what they are able to bring to the table. We have plenty of volunteers that go with us as well, but they are able to come along side Alex and Buck and help them out as well as spend more time with our students. Many of our activities are based upon family groups we form for the week. Alex and Buck allow for our volunteers to stay with their family groups and help out there. These guys love Jesus and have a gift at enhancing your week or weekend to be above and beyond. We met a couple of times before camp and gave them the theme and direction for the week, and they ran with it going above and beyond what I could ask! They created characters that our students still talk about, came up with all the games and set up and led our morning time, our afternoon rec, and were in charge of all of our late night activities. They also do a great job of creating and leading an interactive/creative time during our evening worship services. We don’t have a huge budget, but our camp is 1 of our biggest events we do and so we spent a little extra on that. It was worth every penny we invested into them and more. If you get an opportunity, give these guys a chance. It will take your predictable camp you do every year to a whole new level.

I am a camp fanatic. I’ve worked at and led camps for teens for over 15 years. During my time as a youth pastor, my good friend Alex Doriot would give up his time to serve my kids as program staff. Alex’s humor and creativity are only outweighed by his deep love and devotion to Christ. Alex spends time creating characters, games, and skits that make camp truly memorable for students. Even now, 5 years after students attended my camps, I still have students quote Alex’s characters with laughter. If you’re looking for a dynamic program staff, skit guy, or speaker, look no further than Alex Doriot. You will be blessed by his ministry.

I also love to speak to teenagers in a slightly more conventional fashion.

If you’re looking for a speaker for your next camp, retreat, or event then I would love to talk with you about how I can serve.
