SATURDAY NIGHT: RULE – G
Rule G was added to the Saturday lineup.
Rule G is a local band, hailing from all areas of the map, they are a mix of funk and soul, bluesy to get you moving and keep you awake after being at the festival all day long. They are named after a real “Rule G” – wondering what that is?
Description of the name RULE G:
RULE G-“The use of intoxicants or narcotics is prohibited”-one of twelve general rules in standard code adopted by Association of American Railroads, based upon previous regulations made by individual companies. Countless thousands of railroad men, especially boomers, have been discharged for violation of Rule G; not because of railroads’ objection to liquor itself but because a man under the influence of liquor is not to be trusted in a job involving human lives and property.

With countless appearances both locally and nationally, Brian has made several appearances on the Virginia Dreams Center Stage television show and is currently a performer on the Shenandoah Jamboree at Shenandoah Caverns. His style mixes classic country integrity with new and fresh arrangements and delivery. He cites the Statler Brothers, Faron Young, Don Williams, Ray Price, Marty Robbins, Rodney Crowell, and Buck Owens as major influences in his style and songwriting. His new CD project, Around The Bend is a mix of new original material and classic country songs, all deeply rooted in the traditional country style.
