Overview

ensotree

I’m a practical philosopher who teaches individuals and organizations how to inquire into the things that matter most. Years ago, I created a philosophy practice in which I speak over Zoom with Europeans, Canadians, and Americans about the nature of a good life. Along the way, I’ve written a number of books, including The Art of InquiryCultivating Discipline Lightly, and The Good Life and Sustaining Life.

Whether young or old, you come to philosophy when you’re ready to ask the most basic questions: “What does it all mean? What is it all about? What I am doing here? And what is a flourishing life?” Such questions may arise at any time, often when you no longer see the world as self-explanatory but as puzzling, perplexing, even terrifying.
