Recently Build A Sign approached me asking if I would be interested in making something off of their website. I was intrigued instantly since I’ve never heard of Build A Sign before. What is Build A Sign you ask? They’re an on-line site that offers an array of products such as duh….signs but also banners, magnetic bumper sticks, license plates, flags and more. What sets them apart is that you can design your product in a matter of minutes with their custom-made backgrounds, pictures and text and have it to you the next day if your heart desires.
I wasn’t sure what I was going to make though. It would be pretty cool to stand on the corner with a custom-made sandwich board with my name and number on but maybe that’s not the smartest or classiest thing to do? I decided to design a magnetic bumper stickers—classic and fun, can’t go wrong there!
So hooray, I figured out what I would make but what was I going to put on there? At first I thought I would do something about being a frugalista. But then I played around with their online design system and wasn’t crazy about any of them. Then I saw a paw print and that is where my design came into mind. I think you all have read about my love for my dog Lincoln before, yes?
Since I give him love, attention, hugs, kisses, shelter, why not make a magnetic bumper sticker proclaiming my love for him. I designed my magnetic bumper sticker, submitted the order and soon they were waiting for me at my doorstep.
Adorable right? I am beyond happy with how they turned out and keep telling everyone about my experience with designing them online. The kind people at Build A Sign sent me extra magnetic bumper stickers and I think you all know what that means–a giveaway! My dog, Quincy, AKA “Q” “Mr. Q” or “Quince” is a failed Seeing Eye dog that my family raised. We adopted him back into the family when we found out he didn’t make the cut.
He has a huge vocabulary, (well not vocab — he can’t TALK, but knows a lot of words) and gets me my news paper every morning. He is a typical “Goofy Golden”
So cute! I do/don’t have a dog. Ha, I guess that’s my interesting fact.
I adopted a dog when I graduated college. Then I moved home for the Summer before coming to Charleston. Now, Bruce, lives at home with my Mom and Dad and other family dog, Yogi. They’re a happy group!

Basil, my dachshund (as you know!) was a rescue from Oregon Dachshund Rescue… he is a little sweetie and I don’t know a lot about his past (he is 8)… he has a broken tail.

Oh my goodness, those are great! Oreo is probably the laziest dog around. He literally sleeps all day long. But! If we want to take him out to play. All we have to say is “outside” and he LEAPS from his chair and runs toward the door. He loves to play almost as much as he loves to sleep. 🙂
My Wally is a dobie mix and is the cutest ever. He has one white paw and we call him MJ on the side! His quirky habit is that he likes to gather up all his toys at one time in his mouth. So at any given time, you’ll see him with three toys hanging out of his mouth.

My dog, Bella, loves to tap dance. When you say “treat” she taps her front paws on the floor SO fast! She doesn’t stop until you give her what she wants.

So cute! I just adopted my doggie Chino from a shelter. So far I have learned that he is passive around people and his breed (shar pei) show their affection in subtle ways. He’s like my cat.
My dog’s name is Lily and she is the best! Of course I’m partial, but she is so smart. I talk to her like she’s a person because I really and truly believe that she understands much of what I say. What I love most about her is her snoring. When the girl is tired, she will shake the house with her snores. I guess it’s a bulldog thing 🙂
too cute!!! Minnie is a rescue from a great dane organization and she is a total goof – a little cross eyed and she’s missing a bone in her foot so one of her toes sticks straight up in the air lol… she also barks in her sleep pretty much every night hehe… 120 lbs of cuteness!!!
