Anonymous

Anonymous is an Internet meme (product, campaign or event which has become popular through the web)  representing different users who, individually or in group, can participate in protests usually against anti-digital piracy, copyrights or any type of control on the Internet.

Last January Anonymous attacked the sites of theFBI and the US Department of Justice when Megaupload (a website which permits file sharing) was known to have been shut down, and only one day after the Congress had been discussing the SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act). Wikipedia, WordPress and thousands of other sites took part in  a blackout protest against this law, which was actually put back few days later.

Meanwhile, Europe wants to change the data laws which affect the privacy of its citizens, including the “right to be forgotten” and “to erase your data”.
