Belagavi Division Awaits Confirmation on Allocation of NWKRTC Tender of New Sleeper Buses
In a significant move to enhance its public transport services, the North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) has recently issued a tender for the supply of four fully built new BS-VI Multi Axle AC Sleeper Buses (NWKRTC/2023-24/IND0021) and an additional 20 new BS-VI fully built Non-AC Sleeper Buses (NWKRTC/2023-24/IND0020) NWKRTC Tender. The announcement comes as part of NWKRTC’s commitment to upgrading its fleet to meet the latest emission standards and provide passengers with a comfortable and eco-friendly travel experience.
According to NWKRTC’s Managing Director, Shri Bharath Selvan, the Corporation is set to receive 10 Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) Pallaki-type Sleeper Buses by the end of December through NWKRTC Tender. The Pallaki Sleeper Buses, known for their innovative design and passenger-centric features, are expected to bolster NWKRTC’s capacity and further improve the quality of services offered to commuters.
However, the specific allocation of these new buses through NWKRTC Tender to Belagavi Division and its associated depots is yet to be officially confirmed. Shri Bharath Selvan emphasized that the distribution plan is currently under consideration and will be finalized in due course.
