Michael Lee Brock Jr., 26. Credit: Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Tuesday, State Attorney’s Office 20th Judicial Circuit confirmed Michael Lee Brock Jr., 26, was found guilty of robbing a home in May 2020 when a 13-year-old boy was home, stealing his game console and pawning it afterward. According to the State Attorney’s press release, Brock was found guilty as charged for burglary of an occupied dwelling, dealing in stolen property and false verification of ownership/identification to a pawn broker. Brock broke into a home in Lehigh Acres by going through a window while a teen was home alone. When the teen heard Brock breaking in, he ran out of the house to safety. Brock then stole an Xbox game console and controller before running away from the home. Two hours later, he pawned the stolen items, which investigators learned were the victim’s Christmas presents. The press release did not confirm if the teen’s gifts were ever replaced. Lee County Sheriff’s Office investigated the occupied burglary and was the arresting agency. A jury deliberated for 18 minutes following a one-day trial in Lee County before finding Brock guilty. Brock is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 27. He remains in custody at Lee County Jail without set bond.
