According to a police record accessed by Nation.Africa, Mary Waingwe Muthoni, the deceased spouse, reportedly reported her husband’s death at the Karen Police Station.
In 2017, Mr. Matanka ran for the senate seat in Tharaka-Nithi County on a ticket from the Maendeleo Chap Chap party. However, he was unable to beat the incumbent, Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki.
Mburi Muiru finally defeated Mr. Matanka in the race for the Tharaka Member of Parliament seat in 2007. Mr. Matanka is a Tharaka constituency resident from the Nkarini area of Chiakariga Sub County.
The county, and, in fact, the entire country, had lost a diligent and development-focused man, said the county governor, Muthomi Njuki, in expressing his sorrow over the passing of Mr. Matanka.
He claimed that Mr. Matanka was a valuable asset to his county and that his death has left a hole that could take a long time to be filled.
“On behalf of the Tharaka-Nithi administration and myself, I extend my sincere condolences to Matanka’s family and friends. For a long time, Matanka was among my closest pals. He was advantageous to both the county and the country as a whole.
Francis Kiambi Kiriro was a visionary person, and his passing has caused our county to lose an entrepreneurial, compassionate, and goal-oriented investor. He may have created a hole that will take a long time to fill, according to Governor Njuki.
Francis Kiambi Kiriro Cause of death
The community is inconsolable due to the circumstances of Francis Kiambi Matanka’s passing. At the early hours of January 9, Matanka’s dead body was discovered in his Nairobi, Kenya, residence.
After a brief disagreement with his wife, Mary Waigwe Muthoni, about a Sh2 billion debt that he wanted her to guarantee and for which he had requested her to sign a guarantee, the body of the late Kiambi was discovered in his bedroom.
Ms. Waigwe Muthini informed the police that she and her husband had left an entertainment venue for a while and returned to their home at about midnight.
After the wife allegedly turned down her husband’s request to use her as a guarantee for a loan of 2 billion shillings that he needed to start a business, the couple allegedly had problems in their marriage.
The two retired to their own beds to get some rest when their argument was over. But the next morning, the politician-turned-businessman, who was 50 years old, was found dead and puking next to his bed.
Francis Kiambi Kiriro body was sent to Lee Funeral Home to be prepared for the funeral as the police started their investigation.
The public is currently unaware of the cause of his death. According to sources, the police are presently looking into the issue. The police report states, the dead did not awaken again after spending the night in separate rooms. He snored loudly all day and night, though, and he puked in his bedroom.
It wasn’t until this morning at approximately 6:00 a.m. that she went to check on the deceased; when she did, she saw him lying dead on his bed with some vomit next to the bed.
At around 09:02, they called a doctor at the Karen hospital, and the doctor verified the passing.
