Gallery Updated

I spent some time this evening (well, this morning – if you want to get all technical about it) updating my online photo gallery. There is a new “Botanical Garden” album, as well as a few new photos in the “Tea Garden” album.

I’ve still got a bunch of film to develop, so I’ll be updating again before too long.

BTW, I’m willing to convert just about anything you see in the albums into wallpaper, provided I have a high enough reslolution version of the image. Feel free to let me know image, size, and preferred file format and I’ll try to put something together for you.

edit: typoes
needs a new eyboard.

  1. There’s just something enchanting about B+W photos. You never quite know what you’re gonna get when you take the picture. The Lake Merritt pics are really neat.

  2. Thanks,

I think I’ll be doing some more work in black and white, I seem to have had better luck with it than with the color stuff. (As in a higher percentage of them have come out looking really good.)

Its different when shooting black and white than converting color photos to greyscale. I think that because I know I’m using black and white film, I focus more on the composition and how light and shadow interact with each other. I also spend more time looking for “interesting” angles. With color film, I find myself still very much in “snapshot” mode.

Perhaps I’ll work exclusivley in B&W for my film camera for the time being, and use the digital for color.

    Or not. Film’s expensive.
