(Migration Health) – 2 Positions

The candidate must have a university degree in Nursing from an accredited academic institution with at least five years of professional experience. A valid license (SLMC Reg.) to practice as a nurse in Sri Lanka is mandatory. Experience in the areas of Tuberculosis management, mass immunizations, communicable diseases, laboratory testing or public health and supervisory role is required. Experience in briefing and counselling the clients is a strong requirement. Excellent technical skills including phlebotomy is required. Previous experience in working with refugees and public health or migration health set up would be an added advantage. Adequate computer skills and ability to use MS Office Applications are highly desired.

The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Studies, Medical Administration or related field from an accredited academic institution with five (05) years of relevant professional experience; or Minimum seven (07) years of related work experience with High School Diploma. Experience in general office administration or medical administration preferably within a busy medical set up is required. Experience in customer service, liaising or working with service providers, government authorities and senior management is required. Ability to effectively collaborate and work harmoniously with various departments within the organization, implementing partners and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds will be an asset. Demonstrated accuracy in handling/reporting data, excellent communication, supervisory and computer skills are strong requirements.

The candidate must have a Master’s Degree or University Degree in Medical (Clinical) Laboratory Science, Microbiology or a related discipline from an accredited academic institution with four (4) years of professional experience as Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT); or minimum six (06) years of related work experience with a Diploma in Medical Science. Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) Registration is mandatory. Experience in clinical practice in a busy institution preferably in a Microbiology Laboratory will be an asset; supervisory training and/or managerial experience is required. Ability to apply and transfer relevant technical knowledge and practices to laboratory operations is required.

: SENIOR PROJECT COORDINATOR (LMR)

The candidate must have a University Degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or minimum four (4) years of related professional work experience; or minimum six (06) years of related work experience with High School Diploma. Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations will be advantageous. Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups is highly desired. Knowledge on RBM (Result Based Management), hands on experience with project design, conceptualizing, work plan development and direct project implementation experience in the development field is preferred. Previous experience in M&E (Monitoring and Evaluation), budgeting & reporting is preferred. Sound knowledge of issues related to overseas employment and contractual labor in Sri Lanka or in the Asian region will be an asset.
