Shopfront Rear Projection with Priviglaze Smart Glass or Film

Shopfront Rear Projection Display

Are you looking to make the most of your business premises?

Using your shopfront as a digital display screen for your business branding, videos, images and advertising needs is a clever way to boost your sales. But what if you need your shopfront window to showcase physical products or to simply look through the shopfront glass? This is where Priviglaze smart glass or film help to resolve this conundrum.

Whilst it is known that smart glass and film provide privacy on-demand through a remote control or wall switch, we often forget that they function as a display screen in its natural privacy mode. This leads to creative ways to make use of shopfronts installed with smart glass or film. If you have smart glass or film installed, consider adding a rear projector and videos/digital images to make this work for you.

Let’s explore how we help the retail sector benefit from this simple yet remarkable solution.

Firstly, each project we undertake is unique and bespoke to the client. Smart glass/ film is a technical product which requires electrical expertise and careful planning. Therefore the decision to install smart glass or smart film should be explored with our dedicated sales advisors. They have the technical knowledge to match the best product solution with your project needs. They advise on the laminated smart glass available down to the tinted retrofit smart film your project may need. It is also worth asking about our tinted smart film instead of our standard white smart film. Head over to our contact page if you’d like to begin right away, or simply fill out the enquiry form at the end of this article.

Secondly, it’s important to consider the time of day you’d like to display rear projection advertising through your shopfront window. This is a crucial factor when selecting the right rear projector for your needs. The timing consideration is critical because sunlight during the day means you require a much higher lumen count from the rear projector. We estimate about 10,000 to 20,000 lumen for this. Sun glare would make the glass display reflective and you’ll need a more powerful rear projector with higher lumen numbers to be effective. If the rear projector is only going to be running during the night time, as shops are closed, then a mere 3000 to 10,000 can do wonders.

Where do I place the rear projector?

A further consideration to remember is the distance between your mounted rear projector to the screen. Usually our clients go for ceiling mounted HD rear projectors. Moreover, selecting the correct settings in the projector’s menu is important to account for the long or short distance between the projector location and display screen. Whilst we are not rear projector experts and we don’t sell or write about rear projector reviews, we are available to address any concerns or questions you have regarding this topic.
