MRS Omowumi Olatunji-Ohwovoriole, the Chairman, Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Kaura-Namoda, Zamfara, has promised to improve the relationship between the host community and the institution.
Olatunji-Ohwovoriole made the promise on Saturday in a statement by her media aide, Mr Joe Ola, after the Chairman had paid homage to the Emir of Kaura Namoda, Alhaji Sanusi Asha, in his palace.
“I am here to assure the community of my readiness to sustain the good relationship that has long existed between the community and the polytechnic,” she said.
The chairman stated that she had learnt of the good relationship that existed between the late Emir, Mohammed Asha, who was the father of the current Emir, and the polytechnic, sayin that she is indeed glad to be in the community and looking forward to a robust working relationship.
Olatunji-Ohwovoriole added that she would attract infrastructural development to the community while praying that during her tenure, the institution would witness transformational leadership and a better turnaround.
According to her, the students of the polytechnic enjoy a father-to-child relationship during the reign of the Emir’s late father.
She said that such a gesture should be extended to her during her three-year tenure at the polytechnic.
Responding, Emir Asha said that Olatunji-Ohwovoriole’s appointment was well deserved, adding that he had no doubt that her exceptional leadership skills would be felt in the school and the community. (NAN)
