Gosder Cherilus,recently visited with the Detroit Lions and the Buffalo Bills following his release by the Indianapolis Colts.Tampa Bay Times Greg Auman reported that Cherilus, is to visit with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today 8/17/2015, coming after Demar Dotson’s sprained left knee in Saturday’s preseason game. Made clear by Lovie Smith, is that Demar Dotson’s injury will keep him off the field “for a period of time.” This means that he will miss around 6 weeks. 31 year old Cherilus signed a 5 year $35 Million dollar contract with the Colts in 2013, and started a solid 29 games as a right tackle. Subsequently,he struggled last year and was released in late July.ProFootball Focus graded Cherlius as a poor pass blocker as he allowed 6 QB sacks, and 42 hits and hurries.Prior to playing for the Colts, he spent 5 seasons with the Lions who selected Cherlius in the first round 17th over all.
