A frank discussion about black hair featuring Nia Long, Solange Knowles, singer Ledisi, TV host Tanika Ray, celebrity hairstylist Ursula Stephen and writer and producer Tonya Lewis Lee is featured in the new November issue of Essence magazine.
Inspired by the new Chris Rock documentary “Good Hair,” which opens Friday (Oct. 9), the conversation about black women’s love-hate relationship with their hair is moderated by Essence beauty and cover director Mikki Taylor.
According to Essence, the exchanges between the women “range from hilarious to heartbreaking, but they all keep it real on this hot-button issue.”
Nia Long, who also appears in “Good Hair,” is the November cover girl.
