Just a year after joining Juventus, Aaron Ramsey could be set to change clubs again after this season.
The Welsh midfielder joined the Old Ladies last summer after running down his Arsenal deal.
The Gunners had wanted him to remain but they couldn’t match Juve salary offer and he left to become the highest ever paid British player on basic salary alone.
He has struggled for form at the Allianz Stadium and the Daily Mail claims that the Italian champions are set to sell him off this summer.
Ramsey has been linked with a return to Arsenal but I don’t think the club should even consider making a move for him at all.
The first reason is probably an obvious one which is that Ramsey is too injury-prone to be considered a part of Arsenal now.
Secondly, he would be all about the money now and taking a pay-cut would be the last thing on his mind.
Arsenal cannot and should not match his £400k per week salary at Juventus as reported on the BBC by David Ornstein, so it is safe to say that we have been priced out of a move for him.
Finally, I also think that Ramsey lacks the consistency to play for Arsenal at the moment and it was probably in our best interest that we didn’t allow him and his representatives to bully us into giving him an Ozil type of deal.
Ramsey had his moments for sure but he was never world-class or even close to it. It is time Arsenal just moved on from the past and all its failings.

Aaron is one of the most undisciplined players I’ve ever seen. Yeah, he scored some good goals for us. But his hunt for goals usually ended up with him too far up the pitch unable to get back, ultimately leaving his midfield partner in the lurch, time after time. Nah, he wouldn’t walk into our starting 11.
We should resign Santi! He’ll be free, eager to join and will probably have 1 or 2 years left in him. Will not ask for a high wage and has been injury free since leaving us.
No brainer really since we won’t be having too much money to spend.

As for Ramsey, he screwed Arsenal over by leaving us for free, it was Emery though that had the final say and he didn’t fancy him. I am pretty certain Arteta would like him, but the club would only take him on loan with Juve subsidising his wages.
Ramsey may have ruined the twilight of his career, unless he takes a huge pay cut, as I can’t see any one club wanting to pay those wages and a fee.
This is a non story and RAMSEY WILL NOT BE RETURNING FOR SEVERAL VALID REASONS. FIRSTLY WAGES, SECONDLY FEE, THIRDLY ARSENAL WOULD NOT WANT HIM, FOURTH HE WON’T WANT TO COME BACK, FIFTH HE IS INJURY PRONE. Move on, it ain’t gonna happen, as all with any sense can easily see.
We have to look to a future of recruiting talented young players who will fit into the high energy game which is now needed to bring success in the Premier League.Fine players they may have been, but neither Ramsay nor Carzola are what we need.

A loan deal for a year for him would do us good. He will bring some solidity, creativity and goals to our flat midfield. His lung-bursting runs has never been replaced for n our midfield. His legendary engine, though likely to last less than it did in his younger days, is an asset any day.
Youngsters like Willock will surely learn from him. That can only be good for us.
That way, we don’t pay any extortionate fee or salary and we get the benefit of his skills and experience though for a short time.
Yeah, a loan makes some sense, while Willock et al mature properly and tap into his wealth of experience.

Injury prone Ramsey is better than a fully fit Xhaka.
I wouldn’t re-sign a single player we’ve gotten rid of recently. Which also says a lot about the talent we’ve had over recent years. We rarely get enough money out of our sold players anymore, and keep them around for too long. If Arsenal were bold they’d try to sell Laca, Auba, and Ozil all this summer.
He would be good as a loan deal, considering his work rate and experience playing for Arsenal. The youngsters can learn a lot from him. Trying to buy him would give Cronkey sleepless nights.
As much as in an ideal world MA would loved to have worked with Rambo, there is no way he will be returning to us. The fee, his wages, his form and injury history are against that happening. Good luck to him wherever he goes but just shows the grass isn’t always greener somewhere else.

i think 400k is before tax which would likely make it 200k after tax. Player salary are normally stated after tax.
