Benghazi demonstrations: Political parties unite in call for freedom

Ramzi Al-Jadi, one of the organizers of the “Saving Libya from Corruption” demonstration in Benghazi, said that this movement is peaceful and has specific demands represented in freedoms and rights, confronting everyone who fights freedom of expression and the right to peaceful protest, and combating corruption and the corrupt officials at all state institutions.

Al-Jadi confirmed to the “Live” program on 218News Monday that the movement also calls for early elections to end the political chaos and dismiss the political class that has become deeply involved in corruption, pointing out that these points were agreed upon during the movement’s meeting with all political parties, which agreed to join the movement.

Al-Jadi added that all political parties are present in this movement and that no political party can be excluded.

“Freedom of expression is guaranteed in these demonstrations, indicating that all the demands and banners raised today represent the demands of the movement, and he said that the first demand is freedom of expression and rights, and therefore it is not permissible to confiscate opinions of others.” He added.
