Teaser released for Jenji Kohan’s upcoming Netflix wrestling comedy GLOW

Glitter. Leotards. Neon lights. This 80s wrestling ring is the comeback of the Glamourous Ladies of Wresting with the teaser trailer for this Netflix original series, GLOW.

Set in 1980s Los Angeles, GLOW tells the story of Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie), an out-of-work, struggling actress who finds herself in the first-ever women’s wrestling TV show in her last efforts of stardom. While working with 12 Hollywood misfits, Ruth must also compete with Debbie Eagan (Betty Gilpin), a former soap star sucked back into the acting business after leaving to have a baby.

There are some big names producing the show, with Jenji Kohan and Tara Herrmann (Orange is the New Black) as executive producers, and series co-creators Liz Flahive (Homeland, Nurse Jackie), Carly Mensch (Orange is the New Black, Weeds) all serving as showrunners.
