If I could add sound to this blog post, I’d add a Vikings War Horn sound! When I saw the new Brave Vikings stamp set I knew that as a lifelong Minnesotan I needed to order it! Now any of you who know me, know that I am not a football fan. One of the few ‘rules’ that I had when choosing who I would marry was that he couldn’t be a die hard football fanatic. I know absolutely nothing about football, but if I’m going to root for a team, it’s the Vikings. Besides, some of my family enjoy football and I think they would get a kick out of these cards.

This Brave Viking is stamped on a 2 1/8″ x 2 1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink. It is layered onto a 2 3/4″ x 3″ piece of Gold Shimmer Paper.

He is colored in with Stampin’ Write Markers. Here are the colors that I used:

• Petal Pink – Skin
• Smokey Slate – Metal & Horns
• Soft Suede – Pants & Sword Handle & Ship
• Mango Melody – Helmet & Sail
• Daffodil Delight – Hair
• Highland Heather – Shirt & Shield Accents & Sail
• Crumb Cake- Boots & Vest & Oars
• Balmy Blue – Water on inside

The inside greeting is from the Special Moments stamp set which is one of the upcoming Sale-a-bration Event products.
