Samik: Eating House & Bar

Samik is a brainchild of chef Nick and restaurateur Sam — they created an elevated menu, inspired by local produce and spices of the East. They champion small growers, bespoke producers and the region’s unique seasons.

These guys do not cut corners here and flavor is king. We’ve been several times and tasted most of the menu and everything we chose was always spot on. Flavorsome, well balanced, fresh and served up by lovely staff.
Considering the quality of the ingredients used, it is also extremely good value for money.
Such a simple dish as Smashed Avo on Toast was elevated by a mixture of seven spices, a pinch of seasalt and mixed with housemade hummus, served on a fluffy rye toast. Eggs poached to perfection, every detail well thought out.

Their nomadic coffee blend definitely deserves a shout out, crafted by one of the most experienced baristas on the island, every cup is brewed to perfection and you can taste all the different notes and flavors. Plus they have a coffee happy hour – you can get any Samik house blend every Saturday for only 10K++ (!) from 8am -11am!

Do not miss out on their dinner seafood offerings either, the King Prawn or Octopus Salad are packed with a multitude of flavors.

The café has a pleasant tropical vibe with an open space garden and semi open pavilion for when it pours. Samik should be on every foodies’ list when visiting Bali, real food made from scratch, tasting divine!
