Join the Los Alamos Historical Society and the Creative District on Monday, March 4 at 5:30 p.m. at UnQuarked Wine Room for a special History On Tap during Women’s History Month. The conversation will open with a live preview performance of the play, TREASON, written by local playwright Robert F. Benjamin, directed by Trish Ebbert, and performed by local actors.

The play is an anachronism-infested comedy about the life and times of Mary Katherine Goddard, who first published the Declaration of Independence with signers listed in January 1777 and today is considered among the unsung heroines of the American Revolution. The full performance of TREASON will be open to the public during the “8 x 10 Short-Play Festival” at Los Alamos Little Theatre this May.

History On Tap is sponsored by the Los Alamos Creative District and hosted by the Los Alamos History Museum. The On Tap series begins each evening with an informal 10-15 minute lecture followed by a lively group discussion. All ages are welcome! On Tap is a way for people to get out and about in the community, learn something new, and meet people with similar interests. The “On Tap” series happens twice a month. The discussions are supported by Bradbury Science Museum, Los Alamos Arts Council/Fuller Lodge Art Center, Los Alamos Historical Society and PEEC at The Nature Center.
