Rangers forward Fashion Sakala put in an excellent performance as the Light Blues secured a comfortable 4-0 win against St Mirren at the weekend.
The Zambian international set up Antonio Colak for his second goal of the afternoon before he got in on the act himself when he scored the fourth in injury time.
Sakala has worked really hard to get back into Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s plans after being on the periphery of the squad at the start of the season, and fans on Twitter now believe he deserves to start against Liverpool on Wednesday:
Absolutely love the man❤️

So happy to see him take his chance. I’ve not longed for someone to succeed this much since Sebo

I have said repeatedly I have soft spot for Fashion. His goals return and assists last season should not have seen him almost cruelly ignored this, especially as other in our front line continually misfire.

He’s raw at times but never shys away when has a poor game. Just trys harder the next game and he is a good asset to have in the team.

The 25-year-old was given his first league start of the campaign on Saturday, and he took the opportunity with both hands. He was lively in the first half but he really came into his own after the interval, becoming a more direct threat on the opposition goal.
Considering how ineffective Rangers have looked in the final third during their three Champions League group games so far, Sakala would definitely offer something different and, considering Liverpool’s fragile defence, he could cause a lot of problems.
