Mason Gary, 7, loves redfish, speckled trout, sac-a-lait and bass fishing! He is also very good for being 7 years old. On Oct. 3 he caught a 49-inch redfish (30+ pounds) by the mouth of Boston Canal. He baited his own hook, made the perfect cast and set the hook on this monster all by himself. He dad coached him while the fish was peeling drag. But he brought it all the way to the boat. Then handed his dad the pole so he could get the net and net the fish himself.
Mason also caught this speckled trout in Vermilion Bay the weekend before.
