What’s in your Disney bag? – E & D Sitting in a Tree

What’s in your Disney bag?

Full disclosure, I’m not the person who packs our bags. I’m the person who ruffles through the bags and annoys my partner-for-life. I’m the DAD! It’s my job.

E’s the organizing Queen (well, she’s really THE Queen). She packs our diaper bag and snack pack for Lil Bean.

Here’s what we usually bring for a day at the Disneyland. We try to travel light if we can. Sometimes it’s not possible due to the weather. For example, if it’s sunny during the day, but the temps are going drop significantly by the afternoon so we bring extra jackets. Or if it’s going to rain and we need to haul our rain coats with us.

Diaper Bag:

  1. Travel toiletries — E bought see-through mesh bags from Ikea. They’re pretty handy especially since security doesn’t need to open them.
    1. Sunblock
    2. Chapstick
    3. Diaper rash cream
    4. Lotion
    5. Hand sanitizer
    6. Eye drops
  2. Diapers and wipes
  3. Extra change of clothes including socks
  4. Travel pill box
    1. Allergy meds
    2. Tylenol and/or Ibuprofen
  5. Swaddling blanket — E uses the blanket as a nursing cover by tying two ends together.

Snack Pack:

  1. Popcorn — Lil Bean is a popcorn fiend!
  2. String Cheese
  3. Grapes or Sliced Mango
  4. Apple Sauce squeezable pack
  5. Water bottle

Other:

We fill the under carriage of the stroller with these items.

  1. Hydro Flask — You can refill with ice and water at most of the eateries around the park
  2. Blanket — If it’s going to be chilly, we like to bring our Stormtrooper throw or this Disney Park throw.
  3. Tula Mesh Baby Carrier — Like this one. It helps us in case Lil Bean wants to be carried or needs to nap.
  4. Stroller Rain Cover — We bring our OXO rain cover if the weather calls for it. Otherwise we leave it behind.
  5. Rain Jackets — E and I love our North Face rain jackets. My Mother-in-law (MIL) also has a North Face rain jacket. Depending on if we need something thicker, E and my MIL have Andrew Marc water-resistant coats from Costco. We bought them a few years back and they’re perfect. Lil Bean walks around with this rain jacket from Target, and we simply add another sweater underneath if needed.

What do you pack for a trip to Disneyland? Interested in learning what your family brings/lugs around with them.

To infinity and beyond,

D

P.S. Thanks, hun, for packing our bags!
