Me: We have hardly kissed since I got my braces.
Cheryl: Yes, but mostly because I’ve had strep.
Me: Honey, you had strep when we came back from Vegas. That’s been over two weeks.
Cheryl: (Sighing) Ok, it’s true, I’ve been avoiding kissing you because of the braces, but to be fair, it’s been 30 years since I’ve kissed someone with braces. Plus I know how bad your mouth has been hurting, and I haven’t wanted to make it worse.
Me: do you think I can do other things with my mouth?
