Day 60 was a Sunday, the day I was scheduled to check out of the hospital.
Carrie and Ben came to visit. Then Wyatt came with all the kids in tow, to get me from the hospital. (Since it was Sunday, he had to go to church first – Wyatt was conducting, and Calvin had to give a primary talk . . . and I know, he just gave a primary talk like two weeks ago, and I don’t know why they gave him one when I was about to have a baby, and I don’t know why we said yes, but there’s a sort of (is it bad to say vicious?) cycle where if you’re a reliable person in the ward, then you get called to do things, and then you do them so people know you’re reliable so you get asked again . . . Anyway, all this culminated in Wyatt and the kids needing to be at church on Sunday. Kudo’s to Wyatt for getting 4 kids to 9 am church!)
So we checked out. Then we went home and sat around for the afternoon. Eventually the Relief Society brought dinner, and then visitors and friends started trickling in to say hi and see our sweet baby Nate.
