瑞士联邦委员会已指定4.5亿瑞士法郎（4.885亿美元）用于2021年的太阳能补贴。
2021年，总共有4.7亿瑞士法郎用于太阳能融资。根据系统性能的不同，一次性补贴可支付约20%的投资成本。
今年，超过18000个光伏系统注册了一次性补贴，总装机容量约360 MW，相比去年同期增长了25%，第三季度光伏系统的注册数量与去年同期相比增加了40%，仅仅9月份就有2000多个光伏系统申请注册。
瑞士当局表示， 所有在4月初至8月底期间向Pronovo AG能源机构提交100 KW以内光伏系统注册申请的系统运营商，确定将在今年年底前获得一次性补贴。仅今年就有大约26000个类似规模的光伏系统将获得补贴，这些获得补贴的光伏系统总装机容量将达350 MW左右，一次性补贴的总预算为1.5亿瑞士法郎。
瑞士还通过GREIV一次性补贴支持100千瓦以上的大型光伏系统。2021年，大约500个大型系统获得了资助，总装机容量为168MW。如此一来，在10月底之前提交的所有申请都应能获得批准。
根据国际可再生能源机构的最新数据，这个阿尔卑斯山脉国家去年年底的光伏装机容量约为3.11 GW。2020年，新部署的光伏系统总装机容量达到了创纪录的529MW。
