Police attaches property of drug peddler in Kupwara

Srinagar: Police has attached property of a drug peddler in Kupwara on Friday for cross-border smuggling of drugs.
A police spokesperson in a handout said that police obtained the orders for attaching both movable and immovable property of Mohammad Saleem son of Alif-ud-Din Sheikh of Amrohi, Karnah from High Court.
The property includes a residential in Amrohi village in Karnah, Alto K10 (JK09B- 3813) and seven marlas of land in Budgam in a case filed under NDPS Act at Kralpora Police Station, it said.
He is the main accused in this case, according to the police.
“Saleem belongs to the border village Amrohi in Karnah and has been repeatedly indulging in cross border smuggling of drugs. He managed to escape when his 04 accomplices were arrested by Police in Chowkibal area of Kupwara
on 30-01-2019 along with 19 kilogram of heroin,” it added.
“The execution of orders for attachment of house at Karnah and vehicle has been made. The execution of order for the attachment of plot of land located at Budgam is being implemented,” it said.
