Charter Oak’s Kathryn Simpson voted Southern California Girls Athlete of the Week

Noteworthy: Simpson was the San Gabriel Valley’s only girls individual double winner at the CIF Southern Section Division 4 Swimming Championships. Simpson won the 200 freestyle in 1 minute, 53.65 seconds, a time that qualified her for this week’s state meet. She also won the 100 free in 52.66 to earn girls athlete of the week honors.
