The City of Rancho Mirage and The Olson Company celebrated the ground breaking of a new senior retirement community that culminates several years of planning, entitlement and design work. The San Jacinto Villas community will become the city’s newest age and income restricted rental community set on 8.7 acres and will consist of 82 one and two-bedroom units ranging from 795 to 1,039 sq. ft. and feature private patios, indoor laundry and 1-car enclosed garages. Community amenities will include a pool, spa, recreation room, putting green, ½-mile walking trail and direct access to Whitewater Park. The community design has incorporated elements of the local landscape based on exterior design and elevation features. When completed, San Jacinto Villas will compliment the local environment with a prestigious LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for construction practices.
The construction contract for San Jacinto Villas was awarded to The Olson Company who has specialized in creating award winning affordable housing communities in partnership with California cities for over 20 years.
