#DIÁRIODESHOWSINDICA: 10 releases by singers that will get deep in your heart – MUSOSOUP

In a good or not so good way. Check out the new singles that will make you feel strong emotions

MARIANNE ENGEBRETSEN – Light As The Moon

Marianne Engebretsen is one of the few voices that were able to make me addicted to her sound until today, in this curatorship by MUSOSOUP. The arrangement of ‘Light As The Moon’ is clever and unpredictable. The melody, full of textures. And an enchanting voice, which closes the composition and awakens in the listener a series of unexpected sensations during almost 4 minutes of music.

This is the fourth single that precedes the Norwegian singer’s album and was inspired by her mother’s personality.

“Light As The Moon is a musical portrait of my mother, in all aspects of motherhood: tender, conscientious, warm, playful, quirky, chaotic, spontaneous, and a little crazy. Her big heart, love, and ability to keep our family together, as well as her curiosity, whimsy, naivete, and trustworthiness.” – Marianne declared.

Listen now to Marianne Engebretsen‘s recent single, contemporary pop that permeates indie – ‘Light As The Moon’:

KYLO – Follow

Kylo is a Canadian electro-pop singer. Her new single ‘Follow’ gives a romantic movie soundtrack feeling, while at the same time, it awakens the desire to dance at the club with your friends, you know?

The inspiration Kylo found to write her new song was the feeling of losing someone, who you’ve been with for a while. Watching a person change and not being able to get her back; this song picks up all these feelings.

Despite having a farewell connotation, this track is immersive and you’re sure to hit play more than once.

OGGY – Find My Way

Still, in the romantic movie soundtrack vibe, OGGY features in his new single ‘Find My Way’ some 80s rock references, an extremely danceable arrangement, and some shrill guitar solos.

‘Find My Way’ is about broken hearts. A very recurrent theme in most people’s lives. But, despite this, there are always new compositions capable of deciphering this feeling in the best possible way. And this is what OGGY achieved in its recent release, in particular.

One of the main goals of OGGY‘s recent career is to give voice to those who are not heard and also to inspire people to achieve their dreams. We know how much music is capable of generating transformations. So, how about following the trajectory of OGGY and its upcoming steps?

KELASKA – September

The single ‘September’ is the first song about love that Kelaska has ever written. For those who usually listen to Taylor Swift, you may notice a certain similarity in both the style of music and the singer’s voice. Either way, ‘September’ will captivate your ear with all its infectious animation.

Kaleska is a multi-instrumentalist, in this track, she, besides singing, was responsible for playing the piano, guitar, ukulele, and violin. Another curiosity about the artist is that she has synesthesia. So, she decided to compose a song where the sounds became sunset colors. “I also wanted the song to remember when summer is ending and everything is winding down.” – She declared.

REBECCA SICHOM – Innocence

Rebecca says that when she wrote this song, she was immersed in her expectations and at the same time, feeling overwhelmed by the weight of achieving the goals that she placed on herself. But, who has never overcharged, right?

“These emotions, while sometimes motivating, have a negative effect on me, leaving me anxious and inadequate. Writing this song was powerful; it taught me a lot about myself and my insecurities. I hope listeners connect with the raw emotion and take something for themselves.” – declared the singer.

The single ‘Innocence’ is a very emotional pop track. Rebecca‘s voice is strong, and at the same time so sensitive. It is possible to have a connection with the feeling she conveys in this song. The composition of ‘Innocence’ is extremely commercial, one of those songs that you always find playing on the radio and end up getting addicted!

IRYS – Circles

The single ‘Circles’ is extremely intriguing! The first idea of this composition was to be just an instrumental song that demonstrates the repetitive thoughts that IRYS and everyone usually has. And it’s amazing how she managed to transmit those feelings perfectly with the synthesizers and adding the vocals. I hit play and it felt like hearing the voices on my own head.

The inspiration for her songwriting comes from very challenging moments that IRYS has already lived through, such as depression and toxic relationships. But in her songs, she tries to bring these issues up from another perspective, with more energetic sounds.

“You can take a shit and make something good out of it. Get stronger in difficulties! Darkness doesn’t need to define you. This is the message I want to share in my songs.”– stated the singer and songwriter.

ABI MIA – Shadow

Another release by singer Abi Mia came out! I was enchanted by her talent from the first time I heard her singing. This new song is just as exciting as the previous one, which has also been released here. In ‘Shadow’, Abi and her smooth piano remind us to be self-careful.

“You’re not good to anyone if you’re exhausted! I wrote this song as a reminder to take the time to rediscover who we are as individuals, not just who we are to other people. Taking care of yourself is not selfish.” Explains the singer.

The pop track is able to envelop you like a tight hug full of love. The love you must give yourself. Listen to ‘Shadow’ and let the charming piano notes and sweet voice of Abi Mia remind you that you matter too:

ANNE BENNETT – Heavy Hand

Anne Bennett‘s sound is a lot denser than the tracks presented so far. In ‘Heavy Hand’ the singer uses elements of ’90s rock to vent her frustration with life. She says the lyrics came up during a trip to bury her cousin, who had a motorcycle accident during the pandemic. Which made her fall into a depression she’d never been in before.

“I was feeling very angry and defeated, not just about my cousin’s death, but about the pandemic, and the lyrics started popping into my head on the road. ‘I am the almighty figure who owns this destroyed city’, as if I were indeed the virus. Heavy Hand is a “you can run but you can’t escape” type of music. I (the virus, depression, death) will always catch you in the end.” – Anne declared.

For those who appreciate music with a dark vibe, I present you ‘Heavy Hand’:

CRISTAL B – My Therapist

Cristal B is a nurse in a local hospital in Florida and she managed to deal with the chaos created by the pandemic, rekindling her talent for music. It was writing and singing that she suppressed out the anxiety and stress that was so latent in her life. Thus came ‘My Therapist’.

This is the debut single of Cristal’s career, but her relationship with music started from kindergarten and lasted until her youth when she decided to enter the Nursing college. And in a certain way she’s still taking care of people but through music. After all, in ‘My Therapist’ she carries the message of encouraging people to take care of their mental health.

Cristal B‘s release is catchy and in a few minutes, you’ll be humming the tune around.

ANATÉ – Nonsense

Anaté is also one of the favorite female voices of the entire curatorship of independent artists at MUSOSOUP. The new single ‘Nonsense’, talks about how absurd is all the constant struggle we fight in search of a meaning for our life, where according to the singer, the greatest purpose of life should be just to live instead of trying to explain this.

This is the latest release to promote their debut album, “Confessions”. The composition of ‘Nonsense’ carries a strong presence of synthesizers amidst a dark and enveloping environment, due to Ana’s echoing vocals. Despite the title being “meaningless”, the arrangement and composition of this track are perfectly in harmony. Result of the perfect synchrony between Ana and Andrea that form Anaté!
