5 Ways I Incorporate Gratitude into My Daily Life

With my daily mantra being “gratitude”, I wanted to take a moment and share five ways that I incorporate the practice of gratitude into my daily life. The reason I want to share this is because I often get questions asking, “How?”. So, let’s jump right in.

When I Rise

Before my feet even touch the floor in the morning, I say, “Thank you”. In those first moments upon rising, I am thankful for being gifted another day on this Earth to spend pursuing my dreams, creating new ones, spending time with friends and family, etc. This also sets the tone for my day and allows me to celebrate the present moment of today.

Midday Journaling

Aside from saying, “Thank you” multiple times in the morning upon rising, I sit for about 10 minutes during the day and journal what I am thankful for. While most days contain many of the same things, the list always includes a little something different.

For example, today’s list may include my health, income, and ability to travel. While another day, it may be the gratitude I feel for the people who have sent me “thinking about you” text messages or the random “thank you” note that I received in the mail for a past presentation at work. With gratitude, people acknowledge the goodness in their lives.

Sending Thank You Notes via Handwrytten

Sending a thank you note to someone can really help to brighten someone’s day. As a matter of fact, I send them often to show my appreciation and to let others know that they are valuable in my life.

In fact, if you are wanting to incorporate sending thank you notes into your daily life, but don’t know how to get started or are finding yourself short on time, have no worries. Simply use Handwrytten. It’s a quick Google search away.

Handwrytten is great for sending handwritten notes in bulk that you don’t even have to handwrite. Handwrytten uses robotic handwriting machines that use an actual pen to write your message with 21 handwritten styles to choose from. You can’t even tell that it’s not written by a human.

Not only this, but you can send thank you notes in multiple cultures and languages. I appreciate this so much because it allows me to be more personable in my communication to those whose first language is not English, such as my blogger friend from Belgium and my pen pal from London.

Daily Emails

Aside from sending thank you notes, I make it a habit to begin my emails with, “Thank you for your email.” After I have made that first statement, I move on to the rest of the email.

Before, During, or After Meals

The fifth way that I incorporate gratitude into my daily life is by making sure I say, “Thank you” before, during, or after meals. I know many people do a full prayer or blessing prior to their meal, but I don’t always do so. A simple, “thank you” always works well in my book.

Final Thoughts

Again, with gratitude, people acknowledge the goodness in their lives. So if you are looking for some ways to incorporate the practice of gratitude into your daily life, this post gives you five ways to get started today.
