It’s a primitive site in the Lost Bridge West State Recreation Area at Salamonie Lake near Andrews IN. Last night we had full hookups at a KOA. Tonight our fanciest amenity is running water at the community spigot! There are more developed campgrounds in the park but we chose this so that we can refine our dry camping skills rather than wait until we are in a truly remote campsite to discover we lack a critical piece of equipment or bit of know how. Besides that we are blessed with being the sole occupants of the campground and the opportunity to sit together under the apple tree!
Four of the five nights we spent in Netherlands was in Haarlem, the capital of North Holland. It was a wise decision for us to base ourselves outside to Amsterdam.
A string of unexpected problems complicated our transition from Southampton to Haarlem but calm problem solving and a sense of adventure led to unpredicted delights and a story for the ages.
