Luque: “Poor predictable RDA. Always goes for the takedown against the fence.”
RDA: “Good ol’ takedown against the fence. Nothing beats that!”
My favorite part was when RDA had success on the feet and then abandoned it to shoot meaningless takedowns
This happened like 8 times thru out the fight
That was beyond frustrating to watch. RDA had a chance when they were striking but kept shooting, getting reversed, then controlled.
Sad for RDA but really glad I didn’t see Luque have an aneurysm in the octagon.
So glad luque didn’t get battered
*RDA wobbles Luque*
*shoots a failed takedown*
*(internal screaming)*
That wasn’t that exciting of a fight, but Luque fought smart and it’s good to see that his chin isn’t shot after that horrific knockout against Neal.
* RDA: *I like to clinch along the fence*
* RDA’s corner: *Strike! Strike! you are losing every single second along the cage!*
* RDA: **I LIKE TO CLINCH ALONG THE FENCE**
Idk why RDA kept trying something that clearly wasn’t working
Glad Luque didn’t get into a slugfest
Luque was able to land some nice jabs consistently in this fight. Also was much able to outmuscle rda in the clinch and go for those ankle picks.
Rda probably should’ve stopped going into the clinch after he keep getting out grappled/muscled.
That was honestly kinda painful to watch, it’s like RDA is on auto pilot for the clinch he’s done it so much immediately these past few years that he didn’t even consider continuing to throw in this fight even though he consistently landed on Luque.
Great to see Luque back in it, exciting guy
Words cannot explain how happy I am as a Luque diehard, LETS FUCKING GO!!!
Glad luque didn’t get in a war. Respect for being honest about getting hit and being scared
Dos Nachos has wasted so much time at 170.
LET’S GOOOO. Luque looked better tonight, his tdd was on point. Welcome back Silent Assassin!
Edit: his takedown ability too
Inject RDA vs JDM in my veins to watch the frustration
I think Luque’s title aspirations are done, he looked quite slow in his striking, wasn’t dominant in the grappling vs a smaller, 38 year old RDA, and looked gunshy. Glad he didn’t take too much damage after the brain bleed though
Bro I wish RDA let his hands go a little more
Corner: RDA THIS IS THE LAST ROUND YOU ARE LOSING PLEASE GO FOR A FINISH
RDA: *Initiates a shitty takedown into a clinch that he loses*
Smart performance from Luque after such a bad injury.
Don’t worry, guys! We wanted RDA to be a homie and lay and pray on Luque to save his brain, but Luque did a lean and pray himself!
Luque did an RDA to RDA, I’m sure he puts on a better performance next time especially with the improved takedown defense. He was spooked about getting knocked out and his chin held up so his confidence should get better next time. Gotta move that head a little more next time
This is the second time I’ve bet against a fighter who had a long layoff due to brain damage (Veronica Hardy was the other one) and lost.
I’ll resist the urge to make a “best base for MMA” joke, and be glad that Luque had a successful comeback.
RDA has had too much past success with the clinching along the fence and it seems like his muscle memory kicks in even though he looked better on the feet.
RDA is tough to watch sometimes. His style def prevents him from getting some high profile fights
Love me some quality Luque
I can appreciate good grappling but anyone who genuinely enjoyed this clinch fest is just being an anti-striking edgelord
That was an odd one to watch.
That was such a boring fight
Man, I’m prepared to get downvoted but here we go…
I’m a huge RDA fan, guy takes a fight no matter what. But he’s still human, and an hour ago the sub was praying for a lay and pray because of Luque’s brain injury. It has to have been in RDA’s mind that Luque is only months off of a potentially life threatening injury, and he may have had shades of Eubank Jr in there
Sad that RDA is stuck between 155 and 170. He’s clearly too small for the top of the 170 food chain, even if he is just as good or better than skill-wise.
Normally RDA fights pretty smart but this fight was not it for him.
RDA’s corner: Hey, man, can you please keep it on the feet and avoid the cage clinch at all costs?
“Got it, single-leg it is”
Boring ass fight
This fight sucked
Most of yall’s “BMF” is a certified crotch sniffer/cage control aficionado
RDA is so cooked it’s insane his corner tells him he needs a takedown and he shoots twice lmao
rda all timer, love that man
These cards have been absolutely awful recently, genuinely can’t remember the last time I’ve been excited to watch an event
