Halloween in Mumbai!
The last 2-3 years have seen an increase in Halloween celebrations in the city. From dessert crawls to costume parties, the Halloween party scene in the city has come a long way!
From the various Halloween celebrations happening in the city this year, these are the ones that I attended and thoroughly enjoyed:
JW Marriott Mumbai, Sahar
The Sunday Brunch at JW Marriott Mumbai truly is unique and one of a kind, and why not; the kind of efforts the team puts inn to make every meal special and the top-notch hospitality, they ensure you leave with a smile on your face, EVERY SINGLE TIME!
So, we were there for the Halloween brunch today; and I must admit it, from the numerous times that I have been there before, today was truly special. You know that kind of feeling when you know everything is going to be perfect from the moment you step inside a restaurant, today was one of those days.
We reached a little early and were lucky enough to see them set up the dessert table live in action and what and experience that also was!
From the entrance to the café to the life-sized figurines and those skeletons and the costumes and the face painters in the kids section who were kind enough to face paint the adults too and the attention to detail with the food, it truly felt like a fancy Halloween party.
The food, as usual were really good and we personally had no complaints for the same. My personal favourites were the Dal Makhani and Rice, Paneer Tikka and the Spaghetti from the live station.
Simple food, I agree and you may wonder why the attention to detail and why writing about it in an article that talks about Halloween, well, scroll down for the dessert pictures and you shall know what exactly am talking about.
Quench All Day Pub, Juhu
Quench, Juhu literally is home for me; I simply keep on finding a reason to visit this place and when I heard that they were celebrating Halloween, I just had to go!
From jack o lanterns to masked servers to LED lit bartenders, they did it all to give you a spooky experience.
Bombay Cocktail Bar, Andheri West
Having opened doors a little less than a year ago, Bombay Cocktail Bar (BCB) has been a favourite amongst a lot of people since day 1. A recent visit to BCB not only gave me an experience of a lifetime, but also a reason to go back again and again.
We were there for their Halloween special menu where they had these fancy looking cocktails that they had whipped up specially for the festival; since I don’t drink, I opted for a mocktail but my friend who accompanied me thoroughly enjoyed her cocktails but “BCB Zombie” in particular was the highlight of the evening.
Since this was my first visit to BCB, I personally did not expect the food to be really good because a lot of bars today do not focus on food; but BCB did not disappoint! Lip-smacking “Chilli Garlic Potatoes” and their Soulful “Puneri Misal” were difficult to put down and truly what dreams are made up of!
Well, this year was the first time ever that I have attended a Halloween celebration and with such a brilliant week that I have had, am now super excited for Christmas!
